Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  SEO Services

Fat Joe and The HOTH offer many of the same type of SEO services (link building, content creation, syndication, etc.). However, there are some notable differences.

Fat Joe offers a better variety of link building packages:

  • Blogger Outreach
  • Niche Edits
  • HARO Link Building
  • Media Placement

Blogger Outreach is guest posting on high DA websites, where a new piece of content is created.  With Niche Edits, your links are placed in existing content on high DA sites—similar to broken link building.  You may have heard about Help a Reporter Out (HARO).  With HARO link building, you can get links from reporters that appear in exclusive media publications.  And, with Media Placements you get high authority backlinks from trusted media sites.

The HOTH offers two types of link building:

  • HOTH Foundations
  • Guest Posts

Both HOTH Foundations and Guest Posts involve new articles being created that contain links to your site.  HOTH Foundations backlinks are placed on social or community sites like WordPress.com, Tumblr.com, jiggly.com, etc., while HOTH Guest Posts links appear on high domain authority sites.

Another difference is that The HOTH also offers Managed SEO packages in addition to individual services.  The pricing can get high though.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  Link Building

When it comes to link building, I would give the edge to Fat Joe over The HOTH.  First, as you can see above, they provide a better variety of link building packages.  Also, I’ve personally had better search engine ranking success with Fat Joe’s backlinks than with The HOTH’s backlinks.  Of course, there are a lot of variables, and your results could be different.  However, I’ve ordered Blogger Outreach and Niche Edit links from Fat Joe, and HOTH Foundation, and Guest Posts from The HOTH.  And, I’ve placed multiple orders on each service, so I think I have a good idea on how well they both work or don’t work for SEO.

Overall, I’ve seen more movement and SERP improvement with Fat Joe.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  Content Creation

I’ve also used both Fat Joe and The HOTH for content creation when I needed extra help generating blog articles.  This category is much closer.  In fact, I’d call it a tie.  Each company delivered solid content in a timely manner.  Was it the greatest content every created?  No.  However, both Fat Joe and The HOTH provided content that I was more than comfortable with posting on my sites.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  SEO Results

I’ve used different link building packages with both Fat Joe and The HOTH.  Here, I would have to give the advantage to Fat Joe for a couple of reasons.  First and foremost, I’ve personally had better SERP improvement from the backlinks I’ve received from their services.  Second, Fat Joe has completed my orders at a slightly faster rate.  While your results may vary, for me Fat Joe is the winner in the SEO results category.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  SEO Customer Support

While I’ve found the customer support at both Fat Joe and The HOTH to be satisfactory, I would also give the edge to Fat Joe in this category as well.  In the past, I did have a situation at the HOTH where I had to contact support due to my order not being completed.  I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the response or reasoning that I received, though my order was eventually filled.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  SEO Pricing

When it comes to prices, Fat Joe tends to be on the more affordable side—providing better value.  For example, with Blogger Outreach/Guest Posting, for a DA20 site the cost at Fat Joe is around $90.  With The HOTH, the cost is about $150.  Likewise, Fat Joe’s prices are also lower for content creation.  For a 500 word article, the cost at Fat Joe ranges from around $27 to $54.  The same type of content costs around $50 to $80 at The HOTH.

Fat Joe vs The HOTH:  Recommendation

Having used both Fat Joe and The HOTH for SEO services, I can report that both companies are legit in providing quality work.  However, in this head to head comparison, I would recommend Fat Joe over The HOTH.  For me, Fat Joe provides more effective services at lower prices.  They also often complete delivery ahead of schedule.  And, my customer support experience has been smoother with Fat Joe.

Overall, in this comparison of Fat Joe vs The HOTH, Fat Joe is the winner.
