For keyword research and tracking, we prefer Ranktracker.  Rantracker provides more detailed information, and you have more flexibility with keyword researching, such as entering bulk keywords.

Backlinks

While Ranktracker and Diib won’t create new backlinks for you, they do help you track and monitor the backlinks you have, and also those of your competitors.  Again, here we prefer the detailed data that you get in Ranktracker as opposed to Diib.

Website Auditing

Both Ranktracker and Diib allow you to audit your websites for errors and discrepancies.  However, Ranktracker provides better detailed information and specific details on how to fix your errors.

When it comes to SEO features, although Ranktracker and Diib basically cover the same categories, Ranktracker provides more detailed and helpful information that allows you to more easily take the right course of action to improve that area of your SEO.

Ranktracker and Diib both have intuitive interfaces that are easy to use.  While I like the formats of both, I find the data in Ranktracker to be more on point and helpful than the information provided by Diib.  Not only is the data in Ranktracker more detailed, but there is more specific information given with their tips on improving your website SEO.

Of course the ultimate goal of any SEO tool is how well it can improve your search engine results.  So, how well does Ranktracker and Diib perform in terms of SERP?  That’s a difficult question to answer exactly for a couple of reasons.  First, as with any aspect of SEO, results take time to really evaluate—usually at least several months.  Secondly, because these two tools primarily provide you with information that you then need to act on, it can be difficult to quantify.

What we can report is this:  With regard to providing website audit results that include specific items that need to be corrected, Ranktracker definitely wins.  After running an audit in Ranktracker, I was quickly and easily able to correct errors found, such as broken links, HTML errors, etc.  Exactly how much these website errors play in search engine results is not specifically known.  However, my website audit score has greatly improved, and I certainly believe that it’s always better to fix as many errors with your websites as you can.

Also, we found the data provided by Ranktracker to be more detailed and helpful as opposed to the information obtained with Diib.  Therefore, we are able to make more improvements regarding backlinks, keywords, and other on-page SEO items using Ranktracker.  So for now, Ranktracker is the winner in this category as well.

Ranktracker vs Diib:  Customer Support

While neither Ranktracker or Diib is prefect when it comes to customer support, in this category, Ranktracker is definitely the winner.  With Ranktracker, you can initiate a support request through the chat box in the support area.  You’ll then get a response via email.  You can reply to the email to continue the support request or you can go back and respond in the chat support box.  

While the response time is not immediate with Ranktracker (for example, if you send a request at night, you may have to wait until the next day), you do get a response—which is something you don’t always get with Diib.  I have had support questions go answered without receiving a response from Diib.

Ranktracker vs Diib:  Pricing/Value

Although both Ranktracker and Diib cost less than other SEO tools, there is a distinct difference in the way these two are priced.

Rantracker has four different plans that range from $9 mo. to $104.50 mo.  You can try out their Double Data and Quad Data plans free for 7 days—more than enough to give you an idea of how well Ranktracker works for you.

With Diib, you have the choice of their Free Plan or the Pro Plan that costs $29.99 mo.  The Free Plan is a good way to get started using Diib, however you’ll find it very limiting in terms of the data and features you get.  While the Pro Plan gives you a bit more, it still doesn’t match up with Ranktracker, in my opinion.  Also, be aware that with Diib, you’ll get a lot more upsell attempts for additional services.

Overall, in the Price/Value category, Ranktracker is the winner.  I especially like the value you get with their Starter, Double Data, and Quad Data plans.

Recommendation

Overall, in this comparison of Ranktracker vs Diib, Ranktracker is the winner.  We find the data in Ranktracker to be more accurate and helpful than the information from Diib.   The SEO tools in Ranktracker are more detailed and useful than the ones included with Diib.  

Although Diib does include a free plan offering, it isn’t as useful as the Ranktracker plans.  And, the Diib Pro Plan will cost you more than the Ranktracker Starter and Double Data plans.  In addition to providing more value, Ranktracker also includes more responsive customer support.

While neither Diib or Ranktracker would be the ideal solution for SEO agencies looking to help their customers, for website owners looking to improve their SERP, I would definitely recommend Ranktracker over Diib.
